Why did the chargers have to move to Los Angeles? They already have the Rams so welcome to my Senior Project! My parents were raised in San Diego, my grandparents lived there, and I spent a lot of my childhood in San Diego so I was upset to hear that the Chargers were moving to another city. My response was to brand my own football team for San Diego.
Visual Imagery Thought Process
When designing the visual identity I wanted something fierce, but also something that tied into the city of San Diego. So I created a team called the hammerheads because it ties back in with tiger ships that were used in the 1900s and San Diego is known for having one of the biggest naval bases in the United States. The uniforms are yellow, blue, white, and grey to showcase the sunny aesthetic of that beautiful city while tying it into the shark approach. The tiger ships are used as inspiration for the helmets.
Visual Imagery Thought Process
When designing the stadium I wanted something unique because Boise State had a blue field. I took inspiration from that and created a blue football field mockup that looks like the Ocean. With all the other deliverables, I wanted something to replicate my use of experimental typography, but something that also includes my use of painting because that's how I got into art / design.

I used this style to create billboards, motion gifs for football plays in the stadium, social media posts, and tickets.
The very last deliverable that is used is a small mockup of a single wireframe that people will use to navigate the website. It utilizes everything that other deliverables have used with the visual identity and used of experimental typography. The senior project was successful and helped me graduate from Otis College of Art and Design.
